Sunday 29th & Monday 30th August 2010 Ladies X1
Weekend of double glory for Twickenham Ladies

Dicken's scores an impressive 48 in the super 8's quarter-final.

Having lost the toss Twickenham were put into bat in the quarter-final match of the Super 8's competition.   Openers Kat Dickens and Liz Foster showed fine form as they eased their way to a commanding 92 opening partnership before Foster 25 was dismissed by Dani Armes.  Dickens who would have been due to retire on 50 followed shortly afterwards on 48.  Twickenham ended on 121 after their allotted 15x8 ball overs for the lost of two more wickets: Donnelly having been run out on 13 and Zoe Quested dismissing Tee Hollingsbee for just 6.

In reply Harold Wood showed in the opening overs that they were more than capable of keeping up with the run rate but once Captain Ann Baker came on to bowl, their openers Stacey Bysouth 20 and Armes soon fell victim.   With Baker mopping up two more wickets and Hollingsbee taking 2 wickets in one over, saw the visitors grind to halt well short of the target being all out for 63 in the 12th over.

Monday saw the Twickenham ladies again show their cricketing prowess as they scooped the Guildford 6's trophy as they beat Hursley Park in the final of this competition Charlotte Gallagher scoring a six to win the match with one over still remaining.
