Comfortable 9 wicket win for Twickenham Ladies
Greenhead bowls them over
After a heavy defeat of 107 runs against the RAF team on Saturday, Twickenham ladies faced Hursley Park at home in the return league match. Twickenham won the toss and put the visitors into bat, who started well by putting on 45 for the first wicket. However when Janet Greenhead joined the bowling attack, she showed no mercy as she gathered an impressive 5 wickets for just 10 runs from her 9 overs. With Randika Galhenage scooping the other three wickets for 25 from 8.5 overs, the visitors flounder all out for 102 in 36.5 overs.
In reply it took Twickenham just 19 overs to gather the required runs, thanks to Marina Steel's 57 not out, supported by Kat Dickens 19 not out and Galhenage 12 giving Twickenham Ladies a comfortable 9 wicket win over the Hampshire visitors. Gemma Green was the wicket taker for Hursley Park. For the web site
