2nd X1 v Kew, Saturday 3rd May 2008

Kew batted first and made 158 for 5 from their 45 overs. Twickenham bowled ok, with wickets shared between Aly Vokes (2), and 1 each for Ryan Combrinck, Ashley Gray and Paul Johnson.

Our fielding was WOEFUL though, with 8 dropped catches and numerous fielding mistakes.

Kew's innings centred around their West Indian overseas player Kidron Thomas who was 50 no.

In reply, T’s reshuffled top order was blown away by the pace of Thomas, who reduced us to 9 for 5.

The situation was rescued somewhat by Andy Ryan 17, Paul Johnson 16 and Aly Vokes 31,but we were still bowled out for exactly 100.

Very disappointing with much to work on!
