Twickenham CC Academy Squads
To help develop our more talented youngsters we have launched our selection for our Academy Squads for 2010.
We will be selecting around 8 cricketers in each of 2 age groups: 11-14 and 15-18 who will benefit from more coaching including one2one sessions, state of the art methods, the latest equipment and sessions on nutrition, fitness, sports psychology and much more.
Our Academy will integrate into the County and National Academy schemes, and will provide a pathway for our elite members towards possible representative cricket at Middlesex. This will also provide an improvement in our age group teams and looking further ahead will strengthen our future 1st team squads.
The Academy members will also benefit from visits to Finchley Indoor school and Lords where they will have the chance to receive coaching from Middlesex Academy coaches and meet cricketers who have passed through the MCCC Academy.
Selection has already started with a review of last season’s performances and will continue at our Winter Nets sessions on Sundays. It is envisaged that we will be able to announce our 2010 squads just after Easter at the start of our indoor nets.
