Kwik Cricket is a simple game for all boys and girls from 5 years of age upwards.
It is the result of many years of detailed product development and research by the England and Wales Cricket Board in consultation with cricket coaches, education authorities, teachers and children.
The emphasis of Kwik Cricket is always on participation and enjoyment.
At Twickenham any number of children can play, from 2 to 100. Our qualified coaches simply adapt the game to our own particular environment in terms of time available and numbers playing.
Kwik Cricket equipment is made from high-quality moulded plastic. It is light enough for small hands yet extremely tough and hard wearing. It has been designed as an alternative to traditional equipment to allow the game to be played safely on any flat surface either indoors or outdoors.
Over the years, the equipment has been constantly improved to meet the requirements of today's children, teachers, coaches, young leaders, parents and other adults who will help our future young cricketers. Many of the Kwik cricketers at Twickenham have gone on to represent the colts section and in fact our U11's were Indoor County Champions in 2004 and one of our lads in now in the South of England team. The bulk of the side have been playing together since they were 5 years old!
Kwik Cricket - Skill Awards
The Twickenham CC Kwik Cricket Skill Awards Scheme includes Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Awards test children's catching, throwing, bowling and striking skills as they develop. They have also been designed to fit Key Stages 1 and 2 of the National Curriculum.
