Crowned as Super 8 Champions in 2010, the
ladies section of Twickenham CC, looks forward to enjoying the
same run of success this coming season.
Other successes last year include winning the Esme Irwin
Club20 Plate, Guildford‘s 6’s and retaining a very formidable 3rd
place in South League Division One. For the
second year running we are also represented at County level, with
a senior squad member playing for the newly promoted Middlesex
County ladies side.
Under the leadership of new Captain Kat
Dickens and Sunny Pottay who continues as Vice-Captain, the ladies
will be looking to build on the success of the past few years,
looking for further promotion in the league and another successful
Super 8’s campaign. Matches are
mainly on Sunday and are played every weekend from April to
September. Weekly nets will
continue on a Wednesday night at St James and Monday night at The
Green. Coaching will be available at nets,
giving the opportunity to develop both individual and team cricket
skills. Despite our aims and goals for the 2011, the enjoyment of
the game will also be the emphasis for the squad, who also enjoy a
number of social events during the season.
