NatWest Cricket Force Day is once again upon us

To all Australian members of TCC, no, we don't need you to bring down any sandpaper, thanks
- Paul Johnson

It may still be raining and it may still be decidedly chilly, but, well, the cricket season is still very nearly upon us. England in April, you have to love it. Particularly as in little more than a couple of weeks the Ts' season will be officially up and running.

Groundforce Day

With that in mind we will once again be taking in part in the ECB's 'NatWest Cricketforce Day'. For those who aren't aware the ECB encourages all clubs to get their members down to their respective grounds with a view to getting their facilities ready to roll for the new season. Some clubs have their cricketforce day at the end of March. At Twickenham we generally do it in mid-April once Thamesians Rugby Club have formally handed over the day-to-day running of the pavilion back to us.

The red letter day for us this year is Sunday 15 April. There are a whole host of things that we need to put right and we need YOU - the members - to help in doing this. Tasks range from putting up all the pictures in the pavilion to jetwashing the artificial wicket and from plugging a few holes in dressing room walls to making sure the sightscreens are in working order. Paul Johnson and his team will have a long list of things to do, so please put the date in your diary and pop down. Even if you can only spare an hour, it really is appreciated.

We are looking at a 10am start. We don't have any games on that day and there will be a ready supply of tea and coffee (plus, rumour has it, even some biscuits) for all those who come down. If you could let either Johno or Disco know your plans that'd be marvellous.
