Amarjit Sandhu passed away tragically earlier this week.

Our thoughts are with Amarjit's close family and friends. He was a fantastic guy, we'll all miss him greatly.
- Jon Varney (TCC Chairman)

This week Twickenham Cricket Club lost a great friend in Amarjit Sandhu. Amarjit was widely known and respected - across Middlesex and beyond - as a passionate coach, supporter, encourager, player, family man and magnificent all round person. As those who knew him well will testify, he was a force for good both on and off the field, and cricket is much the poorer for his passing. Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they come to terms with their tragic loss.

Amarjit's family have set up a Just Giving page to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Donations are already pouring in, but it'd really mean a lot to them if you could donate a few pounds to such a great cause. It helps fund research that's vital in understanding why cardiac arrests happen and indeed in to helping counteract them.

Final respects will be paid to Amarjit on Friday 14 December at the Sikh Temple in Alice Way, Hounslow (TW3 3UA) and then at Hanworth Crematorium at 14h40 (TW13 5JH) before final prayers (path da prog) back at the Alice Way Temple (15h30).

The family have kindly asked that donations be made to the British Heart Foundation via the above Just Giving page in lieu of flowers.

Amarjit, you were one of a kind. We will all miss you immensely.
