“Kev Cavilla's top of the pile because of his fine cricketing intellect and all round tactical awareness”
Up until a couple of weeks ago the 2018 TCC fantasy league was looking like it was going to be a closely contested affair. Indeed, it still might be, but the chasing pack are going to have to get themselves in gear if they want to catch the fantasy king apparent, Kev Cavilla.
Mr Vanilla's currently 600 points clear at the top of the tree with an impressive score of 4868 to his name. Early season pace-setter, Tom Field, has slipped to third whilst 2017 winner JP Bowman finds himself languishing in 11th place. It'd be a good title to defend from there!
Bhula leads the way on the field
In terms of which players are doing the main points scoring on the field, 12 people have managed to score over 300 points so far this season. Good work. Points, of course, are accrued for scoring runs, taking wickets and holding catches. There aren't, unfortunately, any points awarded for gin drinking or curry eating.
Jakob Bhula leads the pack with a very impressive 808. His fine run with the bat and nice habit of picking up wickets with the ball means that anyone who's been following the first XI's progress won't be too surprised to see the MCC YC up there at the top.
Hinay Dassani remains in second place. HD has managed to help himself to 687 points. He's closely followed by Clint McCabe (652), whose 14 wickets (!) over the last two weeks have seen him shoot up the points table.
Don Manuwelge (553) and Rhys Davies (428) make up the top five, with Sinead Goodden (420) hot on their heels. JP Bowman is also making up for not being quite so on form with his own fantasy league picks by chalking up the points on the field with his own performances. He's on 365, just behind Sinead.
Still all to play for

Thanks again to Eugene Berger for setting up the TCC Fantasy League and to all those who have entered. The title's also not won yet; Cavilla, the chasing pack are after you!
