Pressure drives performance – the New Zealand All Blacks, a great example of a team that thrives on pressure to perform to their best..

Mentality is a skill, not a problem
- Martin Fairn

Gazing Performance Systems is an international business currently working with clients in over 60 countries to deliver sustainable improvements in performance. Set up in the UK in 1998, our distinctive approach, reflects the different perspectives and professional backgrounds of our founding directors’ experience in fields as diverse as forensic psychiatry and international sport.

At Gazing, we believe the key to optimising performance is all about doing the simple things exceptionally well. It’s also about being clear what those simple things are and being able to execute the basics under pressure. We help people learn how to think clearly and execute the skills they have consistently, whatever the situation they find themselves in. Good players can find themselves overwhelmed by pressure from different scenarios in a match, a poor shot selection to get out or dropping the oppositions player early in their innings. Thus, they can lose the ability to focus clearly on what matters most; supporting their team by playing the best that they can. We help individuals and teams to maximise their potential and achieve sustainable improvements in performance. We do this by devising and implementing maps that give people the direction, the insight and the practical tools they need to deliver their best when it really counts. Under pressure, keeping attention on the most useful tasks rather than being diverted is critical.

Gazing have worked with elite athletes and teams, as well as local clubs and school football teams, helping them to maximise their potential and achieve better results. We do this by developing and implementing systems that give people the direction, insight and practical tools they need to deliver their best when it really counts. At the heart of all our programmes is our Red2Blue methodology. The Red2Blue framework helps people to focus on clear thinking under pressure and be able to make good decisions, whether that be on the field of play, or an important meeting. Gazing focus on how pressure can have a negative impact on a person’s performance. We help people to learn and develop mental skills under pressure and our Red Head / Blue Head approach is practical and easy to understand and apply, and helps people to move away from thoughts of feeling overwhelmed and off task (Red Head), to instead focusing on what you can control and staying on task (Blue Head).
