Signed Middlesex shirts to be won, BBQ offers a plenty and juniors welcome to outfox the first XI on the field after the game. Saturday should be fun!

The first team are keen to learn a thing or two from the juniors in some games of kwik cricket as soon as the match against Eastcote has run its course. But, we've been reading their match reports, so all we ask is that the juniors go gently on us

A couple of weeks ago the TCC Ladies organised a highly entertaining set of games, competitions and shenanigans on one Saturday evening. This week it is the turn of the ones to show us what they can do.

And, it looks like they are up for the challenge. Club Chairman Jon Varney has been drafted in to do the BBQ from 5pm and there are special offers in play there for junior members of the club and all non-playing partners. I think the latter may even find themselves entitled to a free glass of bubbly stuff at some point through the evening.

There's also a couple of signed Middlesex shirts up for grabs and the first XI are keen to get involved with some quick cricket games with all junior members who come along and get involved. Whether the juniors are allowed to eat their Boerwurst whilst batting or indeed bowling hasn't been made clear to me yet, but I'm sure we'll sort that out on the day.

Come what may, it looks like it'll be a great day. The first team are playing on the Green (midday start against Eastcote) and former Middlesex professional Gurjit Sandhu is sure to be roaring in from the Staines Road End. Do also keep a look out for Middlesex YC talent Luke Jones with both bat and ball.

All juniors in particular are really welcome to come down and get involved. And, parents, if anyone gets too carried away, point them in my direction. I'll take them through the history of the leave alone shot, that'll sap the energy from more or less anyone ... :-)
