Low-scoring thriller on Kew Green for U11s - Match Report

With Kew dismissed for 27 it looked like the U11s were in cruise control. Not quite, but they got there in the end.

The great weather has led to some pretty flat tracks and some lightening outfields across Middlesex of late. There have subsequently been so mighty big scores around; the TCC ladies smashed 319 last Sunday, for example (see here for the card), whilst Varad Rampal scored 165 on his own on Twickenham Green last weekend (see here). It's been a veritable run fest.

Well, that was not the scene on Kew Green on Monday 19th June as the U11s trooped round the A416 to play Kew. On the contrary, something of a batting Armageddon took place as 55 runs were scored in total and 15 wickets fell. The track was blameless, it was more a case of some good bowling and some kamikaze batting.

Come what, it was the Ts who ultimately came out on top. Just. Paul McLoughlin takes us through what sounds like it was a pretty breathless affair.
