Local derbies aplenty as the Ts roll in to week 3

The sun will be shining, a local derby on the Green and the FA Cup Final will be on in the pavilion. What more can anyone ask for
- Nigel Gordon

It's FA Cup Final weekend so, as is the custom, the weather will be perfect for cricket. Given the washout that week 2 turned in to, all good. Bring it on.

1s entertain Richmond
The first XI continue the hunt for their first league win of 2018 by welcoming Richmond to the Green. Having been frustrated in week 2 (Teddington were 31-5 when the rains came), Carlos Nunes's men will be looking to go one better this time round.

The Ts will enter the fray with a much stronger side than the one that went down to Richmond in the National KO on Sunday (see here for more on that game). Jakub Bhula comes back in, as does the skipper himself as well as Parminder Singh. The side reads as follows; Carlos Nunes, Ajmal Allahdad, Jakob Bhula, Rhys Davies, Tom Grundy, Don Manuwelge, Clint McCabe, Dave Russell, Gurjit Sandhu, Sanjit Sandhu and Parminder Singh

2s travel to the Old Deer Park
The seconds make the opposite journey around the A316 to visit Richmond 2s. Both sides already have a win under their belts and Saturday promises to be an interesting indicator of where both stand.

The Ts look strong enough, with the core of their 2017 title winning side turning out. Exciting paceman Ozzie Qavi also retains his place as skipper Eugene Berger mixes the old and grizzled (that's you, Dan Taylor!) with the new and not so grizzled. The full side is Eugene Berger, Tom Field, Phil Nash, Nikhil Nomula, Raj Patel, Jay Plaha, Ozzie Qavi, Varad Rampal, Dan Taylor, Parampreet Singh and Nakul Vishvanath

3rds renew old rivalries
The thirds travel to old adversaries, Hornsey. Over the years the Ts and Hornsey have locked horns a number of times and the games have always been lively encounters. Both sides are looking to get off the mark in the W column, so another entertaining contest is likely to be in order.

Skipper Steve Watts returns to lead the troops. The team looks particularly strong in the bowling department, with the Earl of Twirl, Anu Agarwal, returning and Firooz Ahmad also coming in to the starting XI. The team is Steve Watts, Anu Agarwal, Firooz Ahmad, Kranthi Akpulay, Kevin Cavilla, Steve Cowley, Martin Fairn, Connor Finney, Any Hill, Mark Smith and Hayden Tyler,

4s and 5s look to the stars

The 4ths travel to Indian Gymkhana. Indian Gymkhana are winless in 2018 whilst Hinay Dassani's side would have been top of the pile had the rain not scuppered their good work at Teddington in week 2 (see here for the table). Teddington had been bowled out for 71 when the Duke of Spain arrived.

The 5ths, meanwhile, could also be top of the pile come 9pm on Saturday evening. They welcome top-of-the-table Richmond 5s to the Green. An interesting game that will prove a stern test of their metal. A win against Richmond really will indicate that Param Saini's men mean business this season.

Go well everyone and don't forget the suncream!
