TCC in the running for public funding to renew the pavilion but now it's down to the people to decide

Running a cricket club is expensive. This grant really does mean a lot to us and we'd really appreciate your support
- Jon Varney (TCC Chairman)

TCC is really lucky in that it is based in a great place. On a warm summer's day the Green is an fantastic setting both to play and watch our great summer sport. One part of that charm is our pavilion. But, the time is drawing nigh when it'll need a bit of TLC.

With that in mind, Twickenham CC's Chairman, Jon Varney, has led on an application to the local council to try and get just upwards of £20,000 so that we can do some renovation work on the pavilion. The roof needs to be given the once over, as do a number of other parts of the grand old structure. The grant will be vital in helping us keep it all ship shape and Bristol fashion.

LBRuT meets the X Factor
Our application is one of 18 that meet the council's criteria for support. So far so good. However, rather than simply make the decision themselves, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) has gone a bit X Factor (minus dramatic tears and hissy fits). The council will fund the five applications that receive the most votes in what is basically an
election.

If you live or work in the borough of LBRuT we'd therefore really appreciate it if you could spare a couple of minutes to vote in support of what we're trying to do. It'll take two minutes and is really very straightforward; simply click on the link below and vote. You'll see the pavilion project near the bottom of the list.

Furthermore, if you know of others who might exercise their democratic right in a way that supports what we're trying to, then please do send this link on to others.

And, please, don't leave this. Do it now. It's a big deal for the club, we need every vote going. Thanks for your support.
