Two games, two defeats, but the Ts are at least up and running

We weren't at our best, but we'll take the hit and move on. Bring on next week.
- Eugene Berger (2nd XI Skipper)

The results might not have been pleasant to look at, but the cobwebs have at least been blow away. Two impressive East Molesey sides won both games against Twickenham's first and second strings on Saturday 21 April. The Thamesiders were particularly impressive on Twickenham Green, posting 242 on what was a slow and low track. Phil Nash and Tom Field were the only Ts bowlers to make an impact on the wickets column.

In return, the Ts started badly, got worse and ended catastrophically. 68 all out. The less said about all that the better. Although, always worth noting that it's much better to have an off day in a pre-season friendly than it is in a league game.

Vishvanath in the runs
The twos also lost, but there were certainly more positives to be taken from the performance (see here for the card). Nakul Vishvanath's 70 (off 77 balls) was the highlight of the visitors' 216-9, although it was also good to see Mohit Mashar (37) and Ajmal Allahdad (31) in the runs.

The hosts nonetheless made light work of the chase, cruising home with 7 wickets and a little under 4 overs to spare. Darshit Mashar (1-29 off 9) and Ethan Wright (1-33 off 7) were the stand out bowlers for the Ts.

National KO
The tempo gets stepped up on Sunday 22nd as a strong looking ones side take on Harrow St Mary's in the National Knockout. The bar will be open, do pop down. Alternatively, Steve Watts leads a Sunday XI over to Kew for our annual pre-season encounter on Kew Green.

Go well fellas.
