The long, cold winter nights are gradually drawing out and slowly but surely the 2018 cricket season is getting closer. The good news is therefore that an important milestone when plodding through the bleak midwinter is now upon us; indoor nets begin this coming week.
The Ts will be returning to an old stomping ground; Tiffins School in Kingston. The only thing that's changed is that the slot we've been allocated is slightly later than it used to be; Sundays, 9-10pm. We will have all four nets and new players are just as welcome to attend as are tried and trusted members of the TCC family.
There is, of course, one caveat there. If any of the TCC Vets are found to be indulging in anything as morally and ethically questionable as 'training' there will be hell to pay. Vets aficionado Nigel Gordon will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings with that in mind.
For those whose memories need jogging, Tiffins' co-ordinates are available here. That having been said, it's worth noting that the entrance is actually on London Road and not (as the postcode might have your SatNav believe) on Birkenhead Avenue.
See everyone there.
