The Under 10s have been on a bit of a roll lately. Two wins on the bounce and confidence in the camp was high. But, cricket is a game that can bring you back down to earth quite quickly, something that the U10s found when they took on Indian Gymkhana on Friday 16 June.
Despite being up against it for most of the game, good resilience in the field forced Indian Gym to battle all the way to the end. Our regular U10s scribe, Dermot Moloney, explains all - including a reference to a name that readers of a certain age (i.e. being old!) will remember well. Shakoor Rana, an umpire who rose to fame thanks to an outrageous spate of finger-wagging with Mike Gatting back in the late 1980s. See here for Dermot's analysis of the game on Friday and here for Shakoor and Gatt doing toe to toe!
