Big games all round as season gets towards the business end

On our day, we're as good as anyone in our division. But when things go wrong, we'd struggle to beat our under 9s
- Hinay Dassani

A series of tough games for the Ts this week, but strong availability means our five sides go in to battle with a modicum of confidence.

Ones travel to Richmond
The ones suffered an Adam London-inspired mauling when they played near-neighrbours Richmond earlier in the season. Fingers crossed history doesn't repeat itself there. Richmond are, however, top of the league and looking strong, so Carlos Nunes's men will have to be well and truly on their game if they are to bring home the bacon.

Availability-wise, things look pretty good. Jacob Bhula and Gurjit Sandhu return, and the ones are subsequently not far off full strength. Given that everything points to a Richmond win, the Ts subsequently have little to lose. This is, in one sense, a free hit in the ongoing relegation battle.

The Ts side is Carlos Nunes, Ajmal Allahdad, Jacub Bhula, Darshan Chohan, Rhys Davies, Mesom Hussein, Clint McCabe, Don Manuwelge, Gurjit Sandhu, Varun, Sivaram and Nakul Vishvanath

Twos look to build on last week's victory
The twos kick-started their season in week 11, defeating Teddington in a real knicker-gripper. They are now within sight of 8th place and safety. But, building on that good work is going to be vital over the next few weeks, and there's no better place to start than against Richmond on the Green.

Richmond are currently fourth in the table and they'll have their eyes on a podium finish. Eugene Berger goes in to battle with Geoff Stohtert and Dan Taylor back in the side and it's good to see Matt Dean turning out once again. When he's played this year, he's scored runs. And quickly, too.

The full side is Eugene Berger, Anu Agarwal, Matt Dean, Tom Field, Phil Nash, Nikhil Nomula, Varad Rampal, Parampreet Singh, Geoff Stothert, Dan Taylor and Ethan Wright.

Thirds welcome Hornsey
The thirds welcome fellow mid-table battlers Hornsey to St Mary's. Only one point separates the sides in what is becoming a really tight division. Come the end of season shake up, every point is going to count.

Steve Watts returns to lead the side, whilst Ozzie Qavi comes in to take the new ball. With the ever dangerous Firooz Ahmad to share that new ball with him, and JP Bowman and Dom Thamby also in the side, Watts certainly has some firepower from which to choose.

The full starting XI is; Steve Watts, Firooz Ahmad, Colin Blunden, JP Bowman, Hiran Dissanayake, Connor Finney, Jay Plaha, Ozzie Qavi, Dom Thamby, Nihal Tomar and A.N.Other.

Fours welcome Indian Gym
The fourth XI welcome old adversaries Indian Gymkhana. Hinay Dassani's troops have had some entertaining battles with Indian Gym over the years and Saturday is likely to prove no different.

Dassani's team have had a topsy-turvy year, good some weeks, not so good the next. If they turn up, they are force to be reckoned with. Fingers crossed that's what happens on Saturday. With both Bosiers in the side there's likely to be some big-hitting, and with Ijaz Mehmood, the skipper himself and the younger Bosier around there's competition for the new ball. All good.

The side is Hinay Dassani,Jon Bosier, Rob Bosier, Oli George, Uzzi Khan, Sam Johnson, James Joyce, Ijaz Mehmood, Rajesh Popat, Phil Smith, A.N.Other.

Fifths travel to Richmond
After a really tough few weeks availability-wise, the fifths finally look like they are getting the rub of the green. Param Saini's side is hardly akin to the West Indies of the 1980s, but he's got far more armoury to call on than he has had in previous weeks.

Paddy Turish returns to add not just something with bat and ball, but also a bit of up and at em in the dressing room. Former skipper Chetan Ubale will no doubt be looking to make an impact, as will young guns like Waris Khan and Nihil C. The fifths certainly have reasons to be optimistic.

Their side is Param Saini, Ameya, Nikhil C., James Foster, Jonty Hunt, Waris Khan, Grant Kunneke, Gil Sanchez, Paddy Turish, Chetan Ubale, A.N.Other.

Go well everyone!
