5 teams, 5 potentially fascinating games as we enter the last week of timed cricket.

Time to knuckle down and graft. All five teams really do still have everything to play for
- Paul Johnson

The last week of timed cricket is the signal that we're entering the business end of the season. Indeed, all five Twickenham sides have plenty to play for.

Ones travel to North Middlesex
Over the years, the Ts have found North Middlesex tough nuts to crack. The Midd have developed in to a strong club, and all of their sides - from firsts to fifths - are decent. The ones therefore travel up to cricket's version of Hackney Marshes knowing that if they want to bring any points back home with them, they are going to have to play well.

That's not going to made easier by the absences of Parminder Singh, Don Manuwelge and Jakub Bhula. But, Clint McCabe will certainly be hoping to continue his recent excellent form with the ball; he currently has 30 wickets at under 17 each. Gurjit Sandhu will also be trying to continue his recent good form, whilst Tom Grundy will be looking to make the last month of the season count (given that the Stratford seamer missed most of the summer scallywagging around Russia working for the BBC at the World Cup). Young guns such as Nakul Vishvanath, Nikhil Nomula and Ajmal Allahdad also have another chance to show what they can do.

The full side is Carlos Nunes, Clint McCabe, Dave Russell, Gurjit Sandhu, Nakul Vishvanath, Tom Grundy, Rhys Davies, Ajmal Allahdad, Darshan Chohan. Mesom Hussen and Nikhil Nomula.

Season-defining game for the 2s
The seconds have their biggest game of the season thus far. Win against Acton on the Green and they are firmly in with a chance of staying up. Lose and it is all but over.

Given how the selection merry-go-round turns, Eugene Berger has again found himself facing a number of challenges. One of which was trying to come up with an opening pair that can stick around for a bit. So, he's opted to get the 2010 band back together; the in form Stu Amos (three 50s in his last four knocks) and the surprise call of the season so far, Dan Hough, will be joining fellow batting old stagers Dan Taylor and (dare we say it) Phil Nash in trying to knuckle down and chisel out some runs.

Acton themselves have been struggling of late, with two scores of less than 80 in their last three innings. Tom Field and another of the class of 2010, Anu Agarwal, will be looking to use the dry Twickenham surface to spin their way through the Acton order. A nervy but fascinating game is likely to be on the cards.

The full side is Eugene Berger, Stuart Amos, Mo Ahmed, Anu Agarwal, Tom Field, Dan Hough, Phil Nash, Parampreet Singh, Dan Taylor, Hayden Tyler and Ethan Wright.

Threes welcome South Hampstead
The third XI welcome South Hampstead to St Mary's. The threes have had a tough time of it of late, scoring runs but somehow still managing to lose games. Skipper Steve Watts is hoping to put a stop to that on Saturday, largely as the threes need points to ensure survival.

With Firooz Ahmad and Ozzi Qavi in the side it certainly looks like they've got some new ball sharpness. Oli George is also fresh off a good knock for the fours. Plus, Coach Anir Guharaja adds that crucial cricketing knowhow to proceedings. Indeed, Guharaja may be a fraction late to the ground on Saturday; he's currently on his way up to Birmingham to give Virat Kohli a personal coaching session before tomorrow's crucial first session in the Test.

Come what may, it's time for the threes to come to the party. The team is; Steve Watts, Firooz Ahmad, Hiran Dissanayake, Connor Finney, Anir Guharaja, Hasan, Hinde, Vedant Jain, Oli George, Ozzi Qavi and Dom Thamby.

Fours welcome Ealing to Broom Road
The fours return to the green, green grass (!) of home to take on Ealing. Ealing are, much like the Ts, mid-table, and so if either side wants to make a promotion push then they could really do with a win tomorrow.

Dassani's XI certainly looks pretty strong. The mercurial Mehran Iqbal returns to proceedings and he, alongside Dassani, Sarwant Singh, Robbie Bosier and JP Bowman make up a strong seam attack. Not quite the West Indies of the 1980s, but decent enough nonetheless.

With the bat, Nihal Tomar will be looking to continue his run of decent form, whilst Uzzi Khan - the ultimate cricketing chameleon - may blast the ball to all parts or he may block with the straightest of dead bats. Context will no doubt dictate which Uzzi Khan is needed!

The full side is; Hinay Dassani, Colin Blunden, Sarwant Singh, JP Bowman, Uzzi Khan, Nihal Tomar, Nitin Parab, James Joyce, Sam Johnson, Robbie Bosier and Mehran Iqbal.

Fifths travel to the Bush
The 5ths are beginning to look over their respective shoulders with increasing levels of concern. Lohana are sneaking up on Paramdeep Saini's men and the 5s need points. We haven't yet reached crisis point, but we are not far off.

On the plus side, the 5s do at least look a little stronger this week. Given that Shay Boo are second, that's no bad thing. However, the 5s put in an excellent performance against the same side at Broom Road nine weeks ago, and a repeat prescription is very much what the doctor ordered.

It's nonetheless good to see youth still getting its chance. Luke Muraszko and Waris Khan will be hoping to make their mark. Old stagers like Phil Walker and (sorry, Paul!) Paul McLoughlin also bring plenty of experience with them. Chetan Ubale has also played at a higher level in the past; fingers crossed that the former 4th XI skipper can make his mark on Saturday.

The team is Param Saini, Phil Walker, James Foster, Chris Wylde, Phil Smith, Waris Khan, Luke Muraszko, Paul McLoughin, Chetan Ubale, Ameya and Ijaz Mehmood.

Go well fellas!
