5s have already won, four other TCC sides in action

No matter what's at stake, we've got three games to go and we're going to enjoy them all. After all, 34 weeks of shopping beckon

5ths pocket the 10 points as Hampstead concede
Three weeks to go and the pressure is on. Well, it's on everyone bar the Twickenham CC 5th XI; they've already pocketed 10 points this week on account of Hampstead 5ths not being able to raise a side. Expect messrs Sanchez, Walker, Donelan and co to be sitting on the veranda smoking their Cuban cigars as they pass judgement on the cricket they see before them.

The ten points does at least give the 5ths a lifeline (see here for the league table). Being realistic, Param Saini's side still need to win their last two games of the season to be in with a chance of staying up. But, where there's life, there's hope.

First look to secure top flight safety
The ones face a tough encounter with Ealing at Corfton Road. Richmond may be champions elect, but Ealing have still had a decent season. They are very much in the hunt for second place (see here).

Carlos Nunes again finds himself forced to shuffle the pack, with both Parminder Singh and Jacob Bhula pulling out late in the day. But, as always, that gives other opportunities to make names for themselves. Plus, the incentive here is a big one; win and the Ts could feasibly guarantee their league safety. Results elsewhere would have to go their way, but it's not beyond expectations. Go well, fellas.

The champions visit Twickenham Green

The seconds welcome North Middlesex to the Green. The Midd have already been crowned champions, so the Ts know they face a tough challenge (see here for the table). But, last week's moral boosting win against Southgate should at least give them something to build on.

The Knuckle Duster (Nakul Vishvanath) will be leading a side of rich and varied talents. Anir Guharaja, the Coach Extraordinaire, is in the ranks, as is Nihal Tomar. Tomar in particular will be looking to build on what's been a quietly efficient season. So, tough task for the twos, but with the pressure more or less off both sides, they might as well go in to the game positively. Nothing to lose, after all.

Southgate visit St Mary's

The threes, on the other hand, have everything to play for. Last week's win sees them in with a real chance of preserving their Division two status (see here). Steve Watts's men are now just one point behind Finchley, and North Midd are also within striking distance.

Mid-table Southgate visit St Mary's with little to play for. They are fourth and unlikely to make much progress in terms of catching the top two. A perfect opponent? Such things don't exist, but one thing is for sure; Watts and his troops will be going all out to register the ten points.

Fours welcome Highgate
The fours welcome third placed Highgate to Broom Road. Highgate have had a good season and currently sit on the same number of points as second placed Acton (see here). Hinay Dassani, the fours' captain, is currently the leading wicket taker in Division Two, but the Gators' John Newton is next in line. A battle of the bowling heavyweights beckons.

The fours might not realistically be in with a shout of promotion, but Dassani will be keen to end the season on a high. After all, it'll soon be time for 34 weeks of trips to Ikea, Homebase and B & Q. Enjoy the season whilst it lasts!

Go well, folks.
