Two Twickenham sides already promoted, two go for promotion and the fifths go simply for glory

I have placed a range of intercepter missiles around Broom Road, so if anyone starts using a crossbow to launch arrows on to the pitch we're well-placed to launch counter-strikes. You can never be too careful with these things

Promotions galore
The Ts enter the last week of the season with plenty to play for. Both the twos and the fours will be hoping that the cards fall right and that come 19h00 they will be promoted. The ones and threes have already secured their elevation to higher climes in 2018, but the threes nonetheless have the small matter of the title to play for. The fifths, meanwhile, look to end what's been a hugely encouraging season on a high.

Do or Die for the Twos
The threes may be going for the title, but all eyes today will nonetheless be on the twos and fours. Can they make it an unprecedented four promotions out of four for the top TCC sides? Eugene Berger's second XI have their fate very much in their own hands. They travel to Shepherds Bush where the equation is simple. Win, they go up. Lose, they do not.

Berger's side looks pretty strong, with all-rounders Nakul Vishvanath and Simon Dunning returning. With Vishvanath, Berger himself, Tom Field and Anu Agarwal in the side the 2s travel to Shay Book with a battery of spin options whilst Nikhil Nomula, Sanjit Sandhu and Arjun Rehncy give plenty of stability to the top of the batting order. Given the 2nds' encouraging return to form in recent weeks, the guys will travel in confident mood. Best of luck one and all.

Do and Hope for the Fours
The fours, meanwhile, know that a victory against Perivale Pheonicians will keep them in the mix for promotion from the 1987 League Division Two. They will, however, still need a couple of results elsewhere to go their way if that's actually going to happen. All they can do, however, is concentrate on the main task to hand - beating a strong Perivale side when they come to Broom Road.

Despite being under the weather all week skipper Hinay Dassani is expected to play. That's certainly for the best, largely as Mehran Iqbal is unavailable and the 4s will need Dassani's bowling firepower. In Akalupay Kranthi and JP Bowman, Dassani has pace options, whilst Shreeraj Chauhan and Ant Hill offer plenty in terms of flight and guile. Best of luck to the guys, do what you can, control the controllables and concentrate on the ten points. Then we'll see where that lands us.

Ones and threes look to end in style
The ones will be looking to end the season in style against Harrow St Mary's on Twickenham Green. HSM put one over on the Ts in the fixture earlier in the season, so Carlos Nunes and his men will be looking to make good on that aberration. Phil Nash, fresh from 97no last week, retains his place, Clint McCabe returns for Kamran Toor. Greg Nielson also comes in to beef up the bowling in place of Nikhil Nomula.

The threes, meanwhile, are mathematically assured of playing Division Two cricket in 2018, but they will still be going all guns blazing a Shay Book 3s to try and secure the divisional title. With good availability skipper Steve Watts faced plenty of selection conundrums in the week and Watts found himself with some tough choices to make. Well done to those who made it in to the side, make sure you make it count.

Top half finish for the 5ths?
The 5ths have gone from relegation certainties to mid-table stalwarts and a win against Lohana 3rds on Saturday could conceivably see them finish in the top half of the table. Phil Walker ends the season by fielding a well-balanced side, Martin Fairn, Andy Donelan and Paddy Turish offering plenty of experience, whilst the likes of Mo Ahmed and Vijay Sanas come in having played for higher sides at previous points in the season. Regardless of the result it's been an excellent season for the 5ths, although a win before everyone embarks on 34 weeks of shopping saturdays would round things of nicely.

Go well everyone!
