Watch England in the World Cup Final and enjoy loads of family fun on Twickenham Green

If I see Andy Donelan trying to exchange any of his 36 year old whites in the kit exchange then there will be hell to pay

It's 27 years since England reached a men's World Cup Final and Twickenham CC is not going to let the occasion pass off without throwing a bit of a party. Well, a junior family fun day to be more precise!

Big Screen Action
The game itself kicks off at 10h30 and will be shown live on our big screen. Do pop by and enjoy a cuppa or, for the more adventurous, a late-morning tipple. The bar will be open all day. We can't guarantee an England win, but we'll certainly be there to offer moral support.

Cricket action on the Green
Our juniors will also be having the chance to have quickfire games of cricket on the Green. Kick off 11h45. It could well be total carnage, but hopefully in the very best sense of the term. Liam Tebb is the man (vaguely) in control there.

An army fights on its stomach
Alongside the sight and sound of bat on ball, the BBQ will be fired up and ready to go. Eugene Berger will be ensuring that that remains so all day.

If eating, drinking, watching and (if you're a junior) playing is not enough, there will also be a catching challenge to take part in as well as a 'kit exchange'. As we all know, cricket kit can be expensive so this is a chance to swap kit that's too small for kit that might fit perfectly for next year. Speak to Liam Tebb or Paul McLoughlin for more details (although, seniors please note, jockstraps - particularly of the unwashed variety - are a big no no! This is a kit exchange for junior kit only).

So, do make sure you come down to the Green on Sunday 14 July to see whether 'cricket really does come home'. It's going to be a cracking day
