Though the 2019 season might not brought any of our Colts teams league or cup titles the season still felt a success with a some notable wins and performances along the way. Whatever the result we always hope that our Colts approach the matches they play in positively and have fun taking part.

A mark that our Colts sides play their cricket in a positive way was acknowledged at the recent Middlesex Colts Association West Area awards evening where Twickenham CC were awarded the Spirit of Cricket award for 2019 season. Each team in the MCA West Area is asked to nominate an opposition side and age group that they feel best exhibited the Spirt of Cricket during the season, taking as their cue the MCC’s Spirit of Cricket that appears at the beginning of the Laws of the game, and this year Twickenham received the most nominations.

The award is a great recognition that Twickenham CC’s Colts teams contributed positively to some memorable matches over the course of last season. This award would not have been given if it weren’t for the efforts of everyone involved in our Colts sections; from the Colts themselves, to the coaches/ team mangers and all the parents. Thanks to everyone who helps and supports our Colts teams.
