Five wickets for Dassani not enough as Ts come off second best

The slower he bowls the more effective that man Dassani gets

Old Hamptonians visited Twickenham Green on the Thursday of Cricket Week and came away with a three wicket victory.

Sizzling Sandhu
The Ts batted first, helping themselves to 239 off 52 and a bit overs. Solid knocks all the way down helped keep the score moving, with a rapid fire burst from Sanjit Sandhu (49 off 29 balls) very much to the fore. Alex Waddell also contributed a much more traditional 42 (off 80).

Steady contributions from The Big Tackle (Stuart Amos, 35 in 75 balls), Ollie George (32 in 49) and Kev Cavilla (a run a ball 33) further pushed things alongs. They were matched in the bowling department by 4-48 from Hamptonians' Ciaran Doley.

31's the number
In reply Hamptonians started slowly, openers Matt Smalley-Harris and Matt Cecil being ruthlessly removed by the bowling-machine that is Hinay Dassani. With Dassani then picking up the number 3 (George Holden) and the number 4 (Chris Cecil Number) quickly thereafter, Hamptonians were definitely on the wobble.

Number five, Jacob Doherty, began putting that to rights and his 60 ball 77 brought the visitors back in to the game. No less than three 31s (from Harry Churchill, Ciaran Doley and an undefeated knock from Max Vyvyan) contributed to what was a strong Hamptonians middle order performance as the visitors got home with three wickets to spare.
