Traditional all day fixture v 1987 League on Wednesday 7 August

I fancy an 18 over spell. The world needs to see more of the Steve Watts leg spin sensation
- Steve Watts

As is the long-standing convention, the Ts welcome a 1987 League Rep side to the Green on the Wednesday of Cricket Week. The league itself may be no more, but the Rep side certainly still lives on!

Familiar names in the 1987 League Side

There'll certainly be a reunion when the captains meet; Highgate's Andy Newton will be going out to toss with former Highgate player and current TCC third XI skipper Steve Watts. Expect lots of discussions about nudging and nurdling there!

A number of other familiar faces will be in the League XI's side; Ankit Shah from Kention will be someone to keep an eye on when the League side bats, whilst Matt Bendelow (Old Hamptonians) makes a welcome return. Will we see any of the Bendelow off spin, perhaps? Vishy Jadanath will also be playing as will Harrow Town's Gishan Herath and Wembley's Mehul Thrakar.

Talent everywhere (sort of) for the Ts
For the Ts, Steve Watts has put together an impressive mix of talents. The fifth XI gets a look in with Chris Wylde enjoying his second game of cricket week, whilst the 4ths are well represented by Hinay Dassani, Praween Siriwardena and Martin Fairn. The Big Tackle (Stuart Amos) and Connor Finney are on their second outings of Cricket Week, whilst Ozzie Qavi, Kev Cavilla, Sam Cliffe and Steve Cowley make their weekly debuts.

Go well everyone, play a straight bat.
