There are two weeks left in the 2026 Middlesex County Cricket League season. So, two games remaining for all the TCC sides.... except, that is, the 5ths. The sad demise of one of the Chiswick sides means they have a free Saturday to entertain themselves with.

Ones back on the Green against Crouch End
The 1st XI are back on the not so green grass of home. They entertain title-chasing Crouch End.

The Ts are still beset with availability challenges and, being frank, that's not going to change in Week 18 either. But, the side does at least look just a little stronger than it has done for the last few weeks.

For one thing skipper Carlos Nunes is back to lead the troops. He's enjoyed an excellent two weeks with the Portugal squad; a squad that took a big step towards being part of the 2028 T20 World Cup, too. The next round of qualifying won't be until next season, but Portugal are certainly closer to making it to that world stage than they've ever been before.

Pat Dixon and Ben Leale-Green are both welcome additions this week, while Robbie Bosier steps up to make his seasonal ones' debut.

The 1st XI is Carlos Nunes, Robbie Bosier, Pat Dixon, Preet Himanshukumar, Tom Hopkins, Ali Jennings, Ben Leale-Green, Don Manuwelge, Akash Multani, Dru Shori and Ross Talmage.

Twos travel to Teddington
The second XI have a tough task in Week 17; they travel to champions-elect Teddington.

Given it's a bank holiday weekend selection has been again challenging. But, those in the side know they've a chance of making a mark.

Ollie George has done more than enough in the threes over the years to merit another chance in the twos, while the likes of Imran Niazai and Dom Thamby will be chomping at the bit to show what they can do.

The 2nd XI is Ethan Wright, Barty Boyd, Sean Daly, Rohith Doma, Ollie George, Milan Gurjal, Imran Niazai, Alex Penwill, Nishan Singh, James Smith and Dom Thamby.

Threes are off to Chiswick threes
The thirds are all but safe in Division 3 of the third tier (see here for the table), but their opponents on Saturday - Chiswick 3s - most definitely are not.

Three sides go down from this division, and as it stands Chiswick are level on points with Enfield 3s in 7th and 8th respectively. Willow Leather and Wycombe House are also down there in the relegation dogfight, so this one really will go down to last game of the season.

Given that the twos have had to spin the selection carousel, it's no surprise that the third XI has a rather left-field look to it. For starters, 4th XI legends Hinay Dassani and Mehran Iqbal play, while Jon Goddard is also in behind the stumps. All rounder Jarryd Knott will be looking to continue his good form moving forward, Praween Siriwardena and Jonty Hunt add that extra bit of gravitas.

The 3rd XI is Hinay Dassani, Hiran Dissanayake, Andy Donelan, Jon Goddard, Dan Hough, Jonty Hunt, Mehran Iqbal, Jarryd Knott, Frankie Lingeman, Tom Petrides and Praween Siriwardena.

Fours host Kay Plus
The 4th XI are lower in the table than the threes are in their division, but, somewhat quirkily, they are mathematically safe from relegation (see here for the table).

With Hinay Dassani off for a saunter with the threes, Liam Tebb will be tossing the coin and giving the Churchillian team talk. Mind you, if motivation and getting your head right is the name of the game, then he can have no better lieutenant than Martin Fairn. He plays.

Young bucks Jake Hendry and Ronnie Riddett play, as does the not-quite-so-young but certainly every bit as lively Sourav Salgotra. Big-hitting Matt Parker is also in.

The 4th XI is Liam Tebb, Martin Fairn, Jake Hendry, Dan Hough, Ali Malik, Matt Parker, Martin Riddett, Ronnie Riddett, Sourav Salgotra, Adam Tebb and Akilesh Yadav.
