Kev Cavilla and TCC stalwart Richie Saunders vying for the top prize

If I manage to win the title this Saturday then I can't promise I won't go all Gwyneth Paltrow when accepting the trophy at the annual awards dinner on 4 October. It could be emotional
- Kev Cavilla

As if there hasn't been enough cricket to keep people interested through the summer of 2019, 17 intrepid souls have also been trying to win the title of TCC Fantasy Cricket Supremo.

With one week to go, perennial fantasist Kev Cavilla is in poll position to take home the much sought-after winner's gong! Cavilla currently sits 134 points ahead of Richie Saunders who is nestled in nicely in second place (see here for the full list of runners and riders). Mo Ahmad is a clear third, although the chances of him pulling back 347 points in one week look slim. It's going to be either Cavilla or Saunders's title, one would think.

Eugene Berger stands out
On the playing front, Eugene Berger has been the stand out man this year. He has amassed a mightily impressive 973 points, the highest of any player donning the TCC colours in 2019. Hinay Dassani is the only player who has been able to keep pace there, and his 937 is also a splendid effort. Don Manuwelge (784) is the third highest contributor, with Phil Nash (773) fourth and Carlos Nunes (729) fifth.

Personally, it's the fight at the bottom of the playing stats that's been occupying my mind. I'm gutted that my 27 points have seen me lose out to both Pete Burke (49) and Mark Smith (52). A battle royale to be reconvened in 2020!
