The Saturday league campaign is still a couple of weeks away, but the TCC Last Man Stands (LMS) side already has a trophy in the locker.
2nd XI skipper Eugene Berger was man of the match as the TCC Treefrogs squeezed home by seven runs against Mpingwe CC in the Spring Cup Final. Berger's 52 (off a mere 20 balls) was the driving force in the Ts 177, but half-centuries for Anthony Hill and Hikmatullah Kakar did much to keep the Ts ahead of the game.
Ali Rizvi and Niranjan Shimoga reeled off 50s for Mpingwe, but wickets for Berger and the galloping gourmet (Hill) proved just enough to see Twickenham home. The winning margin ended up being 6 runs (see here for the card).
The Ts' LMS side now moves on to the summer cup competition. A full list of fixtures can be seen here. Keep up the good work, fellas.
