Twickenham CC and Parkend CC played out an entertaining encounter on Twickenham Green Sunday 29 August. The result, however, was largely immaterial (for the record, the Ts won; see here for the card); the key thing was that around £500 was raised for the Ruth Strauss Foundation.

It was particularly good to see the legend that is Monty Panesar not only playing, but also ably doing the scoring. No iPads or any of that nonsense for Monty, the old-fashioned scorebook was where it was at.

TCC would really like to thank Robbie Moore and Parkend CC for trekking all the way over from Gloucestershire. Hopefully the heads weren't too sore come Monday morning.
