The U13s continued their good form of late by defeating Wycombe House on 12 May (see here for the card). The man of the moment, Ronnie Riddett, was again in the runs and wickets, although opening bowler Finn Fowler also had a night to remember.
Riddett again in the groove
The U13s are now played three won three in Div 2 of the Middlesex South Section as their recent good form continues.
On 12 May they won the toss and had a bat. Opener Uzair Vali (38 off 47) looked in decent nick, but it was last week's centurion, Ronnie Riddett, who again caught the eye. He chipped in with 53no off 42 balls. With Vali and Riddett putting on exactly 100 for the third wicket the Ts were able to post an eminently competitive 137.
Aayan Zahid (1-13 off 3) impressed for the House, although both Naivedya Agarwal also grabbed a wicket.
Fowler leads from the front
In reply Eesa Mughal (55 off 48, including one six) was positive all the way through. The problem for the House was that wickets were regularly falling at the other end.
Jack Loynes made the first breakthrough, removing opener Raqeebuddin Mohammed for 2. It was nonetheless fellow opening bowler Finn Fowler who caused most problems; he ended with 3-8.
Seb Jones (0-7 off 2) kept things tight, as did the support bowling of Evan Davies, Arthur Dyer and Nicholas Williams, It was Riddett who nonetheless did most damage - his 3-7 ripped the middle order apart and very much set the Ts on their way to victory.
The Ts are now an impressive 33 points clear of second place (see here for the table). Other teams have games to play and that gap will no doubt close, but it's still an impressive place to be.
Next up for the Ts is Richmond B on Wednesday 21 May.
