Woody Fowler and Alfie Gales go big with the bat for the Ts

The Twickenham CC U15s breezed past Hampton Hill on 2 July, winning an entertaining friendly by 35 runs (see here for the card).

The Ts won the toss and opted to have a bat. The logic there was get the runs on the board, put the visitors under scoreboard pressure. And, that the Ts did, posting 150 off their 20 overs.

Gales and Fowler go big
A belligerent 46 (off just 25 balls) from skipper Alfie Gales set the tone, but that was followed up by an equally impressive 44no (from 24 balls) from Woody Fowler. Adi Udernani and Gurjaipaul Singh also helped out by both registering double figures. Josh Taylor (2-5 off 2) was the star turn with the ball for Hampton Hill.

Hampton Hill started positively in reply, Conor Harding digging in at the top of the order. The Twickenham bowling attack couldn't get Harding out, but they made steady progress in dismissing batters at the other end. Will Jones picked up a couple of poles, Ali Raza, Suhail Khan and Darim Harris also grabbed a wicket apiece.

By the time the game reached the final over Harding was still in, but he found himself left with too much to do. The Ts got home with a fair bit to spare.

Special shout out to Twickenham's Finn Fowler; stepping up and stepping in late to help out. Good to see him bowling a couple of neat overs at the end.

Excellent work one and all.
