Week 17 of the 2026 season won't be featured in any 'greatest hits' lists of all-time top Twickenham CC weekends. Availability challenges once again reared their ugly heads making life very difficult indeed for all of a green and white persuasion.

The fives had a bye week, the fours were rained off before a ball was bowled. The ones did at least take four Crouch End wickets with them as they slipped to defeat on the Green, the twos were well beaten at Teddington. The threes lost, but did give things a good go....and results elsewhere mean they are at least safe from relegation now.

Ones and twos both suffer heavy defeats
The ones met title-chasing Crouch End on the Green. Ross Talmage (41 off 55) led the way as the Ts posted 118 (see here for the card). Crouch End, with rain in the air, boshed their way to victory in double quick time. Both Ali Jennings and Tom Hopkins took wickets as they did so, but the visitors got home with plenth to spare.

The twos had a very makeshift look indeed about them. Not ideal when you're visiting top of the table Teddington. Still, they stuck together, kept their heads up and did what they could (see here for the card). The defeat nonetheless means that they'll be plying their trade in Division One next season. A shame, but they'll re-group and go again.

Threes safe from relegation
The threes lost, but they do at least have the consolation of knowing that Indian Gym's defeat of Enfield means that survival has been secured.

Chiswick 3s, meanwhile, needed to win keep their survival hopes alive. They did, and they now go into a contest next week that they also must win to stay up; they play Willow Leather 3s.

In Week 17, well, the Ts didn't get enough runs on the board (see here for the card). Jarryd Knot (21 off 37) and Andy Donelan (20 off 37) dug in, but that couldn't prevent the Ts from being all out for 99.

In reply, the home skipper, Henry Somper, batted well for 32 (51 balls), whilst Praween Siriwardena (3-39) did what he could to help pull off a shock. Ultimately, Chiswick got where they needed to go with five wickets to spare.
