The u12s opened their account this season winning a thriller in the sunshine at Wycombe House.
After losing the toss and being out into bat Ollie was undone by a shooter with the third ball. Adam was then out next ball. Thomas joined Danny at the crease and the runs started to follow. Danny settled nicely and was rotating the strike until Thomas was undone by being stumped and departed for 9. Bart ‘basher’ Boyd was next in and settled back into his old routine taking the attack to the opposition. The runs started to come until Bart finally departed for 16. Danny was the next to depart for 24 and the wickets began to tumble again.
The Ts finished on 89 all out in the 16th over. With Joe not o out on two.
With confidence from the last game in the field the Ts. Harry struck first removing the one of the openers in the second over. Danny joined in taking the next wicket in the next over. The tight bowling and fielding kept Wycombe House runs to a minimum, restricting them to 35 off 10. The Ts were in the hunt for their first win. The number four bat was settling in nicely but retired hurt after scoring 11 and then the wickets started to tumble. Leo removed the opener after Harry was unlucky not to have him caught with a fantastic catch by Louis after a no ball.
Miles chipped in with a couple of wickets bowling two excellent balls. Some tight bowling by Ollie, Harry and Thomas kept the runs down. With excellent fielding all round saving twos and fours the Ts were in with a shout . Danny was brought back into the attack again and after running out the number 9, he proceeded to bowl 10, and then removed number 11 after a fantastic catch by Louis.. WHCC were all out for 77 in the 18 over.
Thanks to Liam for warming up the players and everyone else for their support.
