Ones travel to Camberley
The 2025 pre-season fixture list has certainly been interesting. Last week saw the Ts play Chesham for the first time (see here for the lowdown on those two games), this week it's three encounters with Surrey Championship side Camberley. All good.
The ones are hitting the road. Skipper Carlos Nunes, centurion last week, is elsewhere, and that means that the mercurial Don Manuwelge will be taking over the arm band.
Despite Nunes's absence, the side has a strong look to it. Margin Kantilal is in, and it'll be interesting to see how the newcomer gets on. The Mather brothers are once again going to be in action, whilst Sami Shori comes back in after a week off. The old East Midlands' warhorse, Phil Nash, is also making a welcome re-appearance.
The first team is Don Manuwelge, Patrick Dixon, Preet Himanshukumar, Ben Leale-Green, Margin Kantilal, Adam Mather, Heather Mather, Phil Nash, Nikhil Nomula, Sami Shori and Neville Talbot.
Seconds host Camberley IIs on the Green
The twos trotted over to Buckinghamshire last week. This week, they are the team that is on the green, green grass of home.
Skipper Blake van der Linde will be pleased to see James Smith in the side, whilst Valentin Giraud, TCC's very own love island contender, is likely to be let loose with the new ball. Ali Jennings is well-placed to be accompanying him there.
Nishan Singh has impressed of late; he's also in, as is the indomitable Kevin Cavilla. Rhett Wallbridge makes his seasonal debut, as does Steve Cowley; he's primed to grab the mitts and keep wicket.
The second team is Blake van der Linde, Eugene Berger, Kevin Cavilla, Steve Cowley, Anush Ganesh, Oli George, Valentin Guiraud, Ai Jennings, Nishan Singh, James Smith and Rhett Wallbridge.
Thirds also hit the road
Hinay Dassani has been quietly impressed with the performances of the sides he's led this season. He'll be hoping that continues on Saturday and indeed into the league season.
Hiran Dissanayake has been a loyal lieutenant of Dassani's for many a year. And, he's started the season is decent form. The Sultan of Swing, Pete Burke, makes a much anticipated seasonal debut, as does the Salford Stopper, Paul McLoughlin. The Tebbsters (Liam and Adam) are in, as are Jarryd Knot and Martin Fairn. Throw in Vishal Gurjar and Vamshi Krishna and you've a perfect friendly mix of talents.
The third team is Hinay Dassani, Pete Burke, Hiran Dissanayake, Martin Fairn, Vishal Gurjar, Jarryd Knott, Vamshi Krishna, Paul McCloughlin, Mark Smith, Adam Tebb and Liam Tebb.
Go well, everyone.
